Distributing clients on two gateways.

Postby Bernoldi » Jan 04 06 12:37 pm

Hello all!

I need to distribute all clients in a lan on two gateways.
There is two groups (Group1 and group2), the first need to connect to gateway1 and second to the gateway2.

I know how to configure the gateways, but I have no idea how to configure clients machines to point to predetermined gateway.

I know that it can made easier via proxy configuration, but my cutomer needs a NAT configuration.

There is a way to do this?

Thanx a lot!

hi

These gateways are 2 different WinGate installations?

If so, to assign a client to one or the other, using NAT, you would need to manually assign a different default gateway to each client depending on which gateway you want them to use.

This means you wouldn't be able to use DHCP for setting up the network, so would manually assign IP addresses and gateways to your client machines.

Hi Adrien,

No, they have two gateways in one WinGate instalation.

Excepting proxy connection, there is another way to this?

Thanx a lot.
