Gatekeeper History tab blank and download not recorded

Postby clinthammer » Feb 15 06 9:35 pm

1. Well the tab is blank for some reason. But the history is still recorded in the database.

No filters used for viewing so I dunno why its blank.

2. With an assumed user (lara), on her machne I downloaded the install file for google earth - 11mb. Download was successful but when I went to the history file (in excel) to ensure this download had been recorded, it wasnt recorded properly.

It was in the bytes OUT column instead of bytes IN

Is this a bug?

Thanks,
CD

Are you connecting on the local machine or from a remote machine? If you are connecting from a remote machine you need to run GateKeeper from a mapped drive. It physically needs to open the file; so you need access to it. (Ditto for plugins, so they are configurable)

Hi Pascal,

Sorry i am a bit confused as to your response.

Basically Wingate is configured on my machine. Hence I manage it myself locally. however, today morning when I got in, i saw the history tab full with all activities since 4am today.

Ah, sorry. You can use GateKeeper remotely. (From a different machine). This is useful for Administrators who rarely come close to the Gateway machine. In those cases, you might not see history until you satisfy the conditions as described above.
