Wingate: Email server prob

Postby jonifresh » May 23 06 9:14 pm

Hi

I'm trying to figure out how to configure wingate to act as a mail server.
We have a domain name and x5 email address setup with a provider called easyspace, I just want wingate to collect the mail and then the client computers can receive it from the wingate server.

I've added the domain name and added the username and password for one of the email addresses but when i try to get my mail from outlook express or MS outlook, its prompting for the correct username / password.
I must be doing something wrong because the username and password are the same ones i use to pick up the mail normally from the domain easyspace.

I'm not even that botherd if i don't use wingate as a mail server i just want tthe clients to beable to get the mail from the wingate server, rather direct from easyspace.

Thanks for any advice and help.

Easiest might be to run through the WinGate mail setup document, you can find it here.

It's a PDF that details the most common mail scenarios.
