Policy Export

Postby iquijas » May 24 06 6:35 am

How can I export a WWW Proxy Server user Policy? I want to take all the settings of this user (ban list, advanced, time rights, etc) to another server running wingate.

Only way to do that would be a registry export. If you're comfortable using the registry, navigate to:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Qbik Software\WinGate\Services\WWW Proxy server\AccessRights

and scroll through the list of recipients to find the user you are looking for. Export that key and re-import that on the other server. (Makes a few assumptions about the key existing / not existing on the remote server, but if you're comfortable with the registry that should be okay)

Alternatively, you can export the entire WinGate registry (Advanced Options in GateKeeper or in the Start Menu), email it to me with the username you want to migrate across and I'll get that snippet out of it for you.
