HI, running wingate 6.1.1 build 1077 on my host pc running winxp, client pc is running win98se soon to be upgraded too xp or xp pro. I cannot access client database for file sharing or access. The client has access to the host database. Need to get access and havent a clue after two weeks of trying to get the bloody thing to work.. thanks

Is the client using NAT to connect?

Or Proxy / WGIC perhaps, [probably not as reliable].

Which way are the network adaptors in Wingate shown?

Local NIC / Internal and NIC to Internet / External yes?

Report back and someone will take it further.

It sounds as if you have your local network firewalled from the brief description there. Check how your adapters are setup on the Network Pane - make sure that the internet side is set to "External" and the LAN to "Internal".
