Configuraing a Transparent Proxy

Postby AndrewW » Jun 29 13 8:21 pm

I'm looking to carry out a test using a transparent proxy to route Linux type devices though.
By transparent proxy i am looking for these linux devices to believe wingate is a router, but for wingate to log all HTTP/HTTPS requests.
Tried several configs, but cant get a network connection from the linux devices.

Any idea how do do this?

Hi

the main requirements for the clients are that

* their default gateway is set to the WinGate computer's IP address
* they can resolve DNS (this may require installing the DNS server in WinGate)

For WinGate:

* that the WinGate network driver is installed and showing enabled on all adapters involved (e.g internet link or interface and LAN adapter)
* that the WWW proxy be configured to intercept port 80
