Hi
the trial version you get to choose what level of license to trial, and by default is it enterprise.
What you are probably taking to mean a feature is blocked, is actually just a warning (but you can still use the feature).
By default, WinGate warns if you use a feature that it license restricted. In a trial, it doesn't block you from using the feature, but the purpose of the warning is to let you know what feature may disappear if you chose a level of license (when purchasing) that didn't support that feature.
We had issues where people ran trials, got used to and relied on features, then purchased a Standard or Pro license, and lost access to some feature they relied on, which then became a support issue and bad customer experience. So we try to warn about this. It's not a normal kind of warning you'd expect, so you wouldn't be the first to think the feature was actually being blocked.
By LDAP I take it you mean Active Directory connector? We don't have a separate LDAP based user database provider. AD uses LDAP, but it also uses a few more ancillary services we rely on (such as the DNS integration with AD, and GC).
As for 15000 users. In the end, it comes down to how many concurrent connections will be made to the proxy. We have another school district using WinGate for 7 schools (4000 users) and that's not stressing a DL380 G7 2xE5620 (about 5%CPU usage).
I think though for 15000, you will need at least 2 fairly powerful servers, and load balance between them.
