X1 Socket Error

After months of no problems, my Wingate 4.5.1 server stopped working all of the sudden. When I open the Gatekeeper (on the server), I get an error message about not being able to communicate with server.

I tried reinstalling WinGate with no difference in outcome.

Also, when I shutdown Windows 98SE, I get a message about "X1socket window" error or not responding.

I tries to search for knowledge about "x1 socket" or "x1socket" without success.

I suspect the two problems are related. I don't know if one or which is causing the other.

My next step is to uninstall WinGate and reinstall it.

Any suggestions?
