proxy for Azure database

Postby shaonan » Apr 20 16 12:04 am

Hi, I am new to Wingate. But I am looking for setup a proxy which will act as following:
SQL connections from internal machines(no Internet access) <--> proxy(Internet access) <--> Azure database(Internet)

Does WinGate support above proxy role? If so, is there any document describing how to setup and how it works? Thanks.

Hi

Do you know what protocol is used by the clients to connect to the Azure database? Is it based on http, or some other tcp-based protocol.

If the former it may be able to connect through the web proxy, otherwise maybe a TCP mapping proxy. Does the client have support for proxy access built in? It may even use the system proxy settings.

Regards
