Hello,
I have a following problem. I have an internal application which runs on a server without internet access. Now there's a need to allow connection to one URL over HTTPS. The rest must remain blocked. I can't whitelist the IP on the firewall, because they frequently change it. The though is to use WinGate as a outbound proxy for a single URL... And I'm a little confused how to set that up.
So.
1. The target URL is https://www.someserver.com/api?test=1
2. WinGate is installed on server which have access to the internet
3. Created WWW Proxy Service using the following
Action=Reverse proxy
server=www.someserver.com
port=443
Use SSL/TLS True
Problems:
1. The service wouldn't start with bindings to port 443 on a newly added internal: IP 10.11.0.2
2. The service starts with binding to any other port (4433) on 10.11.0.2, but if I start using http://10.11.0.2:4433/api?test=1 it doesn't work.
while https://www.someserver.com/api?test=1 works fine from the server where WinGate runs.
What am I doing wrong?
Thank you
Gennady
