What I did:
1. Created a SOCKS service;
2. Went into the Gateways tab;
3. Selected "Use specified connections in priority order (failover)";
4. Clicked "Add";
5. For only one adapter, call it X, marked "Any Gateway" and marked "Any IP Address".
6. Saved the properties and started the service.
What I expected:
If the adapter X become unavailable or disconnected, the clients using that SOCKS service shall lose connection.
What happened:
When the adapter X became unavailable, WinGate made the SOCKS service use other adapters as gateway and the clients then kept accessing over these. There seems to be no indication on the GUI that other adapters will be used if the ones selected fail.
What I want:
Is there a way to force the SOCKS service to only use the specified adapter and make it fail if the adapter is not available?
