Connect hotspot client to neighbour LAN network of wingate s

Postby asqal90 » Mar 09 17 12:56 pm

I have installed and configured wingate as transparent proxy with NAT, so i can share my internet connection via hotspot/wifi with connectify.

I installed TCP mapping service, and binding internal adapter and overide port 80 and 443, and intercept in port 80 and 443.

My hotspot client (smartphone) successfully can connect to internet (browsing web, whatsapp, telegram, youtube, etc) without setting proxy in client side, however i cant connect to neighbour LAN of computer which wingate server installed on. where am i wrong?

Here my configuration:

Wingate server installed in computer windows 7 with IP address 192.168.103.68, with TCP mapping service installed, binding in any internal adapter port 80 and 443, intercept in port 80,443.

Connectify automatically share wifi/hotspot connection, share my lan connection. And connectify automatically give ip address to my client (smartphone) with ip address range 192.168.169.* and subnet 255.255.255.0

The problem is, my client (smartphone) (192.168.169.101) can not connect to neighbor computer (192.168.103.47) with same LAN with computer wingate server (192.168.103.68) installed on. But it can connect to address another computer (192.168.100.151) outside router of wingate computer

Please help, thank you

Hi,

Did you install a TCP mapping on port 80 or the WWW proxy? You would normally use a TCP mapping to map a connection to an end server, whereas the proxy would be used for outgoing connections to the Internet.

Are you seeing NAT connections in the activity panel in the WinGate console when you browse, or if you ping www.google.com? That would indicate that NAT is working in WinGate.

Is connectify installed on the WinGate server? Is there an adapter in WinGate on the 192.168.169.* subnet? It would need that to be able to communicate with that network.

Regards,

Matt

I installed tcp mapping service on port 0, and binding internal adapter overide port 0,80,443, and loopback port 0, intercept on port 80,443

Connectify installed in same computer whereas wingate server installed. Ip address of computer (192.168.103.68)

192.168.169.101 is my smartphone ip address

192.168.169.1 is ip given by connectify DHCP to AP adapter, subnet mask 255.255.255.0

I cant connect to lan neighbor in 192.168.103.47, i made website script on this ip address

i found the solution finally,

just setting network interface ethernet adapter that connect to LAN set to external, and Wireless adapter that set as Access Point set to internal.
