config gateway to accept local virtual machines connections

Mar 31 17 4:38 am

i have configured a WWW proxy service in WinGate (with NTLM authenticated user with passwd) and i would like to restrict access to my service / local proxy

but i want to use docker images on my machine, so i want the docker vm (MobyLinux) to have access to the internet
how do i configure wingate (what do i need to configure in wingate) to restrict access to my proxy to localhost and to my docker vm (which has it's own NAT adapter)?
(is the thing that i need a gateway, like in other tools? how do i configure it?)

using WinGate 9 on Win10 PRO

Hi,

You could probably set up web access rules to control access based on IP address. You could create a rule that checked the IP address, if it matches that of the docker image then the request is allowed, requests from any other IP address would hit the default rule and be denied.

Matt
