What OS are you installing WinGate on? We are aware of a driver conflict on some Windows 10/2016 systems that would cause the issues that you're seeing. Currently the only solution is to remove the WinGate network driver and run WinGate as a proxy, or move to a different OS. You can remove the WinGate network driver from the Windows adapter properties, then connect to WinGate by using proxy settings in the browser.
