connect to internal proxy wingate to open DMZ webserver

Postby mpi78 » Jun 22 20 1:24 am

we have internal proxy wingate ( it's IP address is 192.168.2.10) and want to open internal DMZ webserver which IP (172.16.12.10) and hostname is xxx.webserver.com.

wingate can ping that IP but could not resolve the xxx.webserver.com , so is there any configuration in wingate to set up local dns look up ? so when our user open xxx.webserver.com then wingate will redirect request to 172.16.12.10

please help me.

thank you.

Hi

WinGate can use the hosts file on the host computer, so you could add an entry for your DMZ server there.

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\

File is called "hosts" (no extension). Need to make sure when editing it in NotePad that it doesn't save it with a .txt extension. Editing it in-situ will require running Notepad as Administrator.
