Forward ports in Wingate

Postby Jacekiwi » Sep 26 20 5:30 pm

How do we forward ports in wingate? I.E: port 8000 and 9000 from the router to the DVR. I have added TCP map:
Install service
TCP Mapping Service
Named it DVR9000
Delete bindings
Add binding: Any external adapter
Service port: 9000
Mapping enabled = true
Destination = 192.168.11.65
Destination port: 9000

Thanks,
Jason.

Hi Jason,

That should work for you, have you tested it and is it working?

The other way is with the Extended Networking::Port Security menu. You can add a new entry there and choose the option to "redirect packet to IP address". Using Extended Networking requires the WinGate Network Driver to be installed.

Thanks Matt,

It turns out the correct app is Homesafe view and switches automatically from WiFi at home to 4G when away. I stopped the TCP services that I added and still works. So looks like I don't need port forwarding. I have my android mobile app working now.

Cheers,
Jason.
