Kerberos Authentication for Wingate webproxy

Postby Kwestkamp » Dec 16 20 1:34 am

Hi,

i'm using the newest Wingate 9.4.1.5998 proxy to evaluate, whether my customer can use it as Webproxy with Kerberos authentication. So far NTLM work without any further doings, but when i change to negotiate, the Authentication never succeeds.
The host running the service is member of the domain.

Best Regards,

Hi

which browser are you using? There are a number of things that can go wrong with Kerberos outside of WinGate's control.

For all authentication to user accounts that are provided by Windows or Active Directory, WinGate is acting only as a conduit between the client and the AD / Windows using the SSPI.

To see more about what is going on you could enable debug logging for the user database you are using (e.g Active Directory connector). We recommend getting it to log to its own file as well.
