IP Address range in Data List

Postby philiplim » Sep 29 21 3:14 pm

Is there a way to enter a range of IP addresses in the Data List?

For example, I want to allow access to a range of IP address like below. Is there a way to do this with Wingate 8 and 9?

13.67.10.124/30
2603:1040:5:402::178/125

thanks!

Hi

Data lists are lists of strings, so WinGate doesn't interpret what is inside the string.

Therefore you can't use an IP address range spec in there.

However, there are ways to limit access based on IP ranges. In Web access rules, and also in script. Also you can blacklist by IP range in the Extended Networking settings if you have installed the WinGate Network Driver.

Do you want to specify access like this for all services or just some?

I just need it for web proxy.

Actually, this whole thing stemmed from having difficulties using MS Teams using the MS Teams program.

Despite having a default rule while allows all traffic through, MS Teams can't connect to a stream when web proxy through Wingate is on. It works when web proxy is off.

Any clues or ideas how to resolve this?

thanks!

Hi

is Teams configured to use a proxy, or when the web proxy is on is it intercepting connections?

With the proxy on, (e.g. Teams not working), how does the connection appear in WinGate Management? E.g.:

* NAT Connection to xxxx:xx
* CONNECT request to
* https://...
* http://...

?

What about when it is working?
