Socks timeouts

Postby Sarah » Dec 13 21 11:32 pm

Hi, iam using Wingate 9.4.1.5998 for using SOCKS Proxys to connect to a Minecraft Server.

Sample Settings i use you can see in Screenshots
Iam Using Windows 10 as Server, with multiple IP's in ipv4 Settings
Have multiple Proxys in Wingate

I create a connection with a Minecraft Client over the Socks.
Sometimes, the client Disconnects randomly, i have see, if the client load many data, the client time out

I used before a Linux Server with danted SOCKS, there I had a similar problem which I fixed by setting the "timeout.negotiate" to 180

But here on Windows, i dont know, how i can fix the connection timed out.

Does anyone here have an idea?
It may also be a Windows setting that I have to change or in Wingate

Hi Sarah

There are some settings in Windows registry.

https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/troubl ... parameters

For example, TcpMaxConnectRetransmissions will affect how hard Windows will try to make a connection.
