These Forums - data loss

Hi everyone.

Unfortunately on Thursday 14 December, we suffered a double disk failure in our SAN, and had to restore our failover cluster from backup.

At this point in time, we found that we had not been taking regular backups of the forum database, and so we had to revert to a version from approximately 12 months ago. Unfortunately this means the last 12 months posts have been lost.

Unfortunately there's nothing we can do about this except apologise and learn. We have altered our backup scripts to make sure we keep up-to-date backups of forums as well as other critical data.

This is why the forums look so desolate...
