Ban sites

Postby giuliano » Sep 18 06 10:56 pm

Hi,
I'm banning sites throught system policies ban list. I'd like to ban also when the word doesn't occur only in the server name. For example if I want to ban all the sites that contain the word "image" in the url I'd like to exclude also :

www.mysite.com/theme/image

How can I do this ?

Hi

In the ban list, instead of choosing server name, choose HTTP URL. Then if any part of the URL contains the text it will be banned rather than just the server name.

In system policies the ban list option of HTTP URL is not available. It is however, in the WWW proxy server policies. So you would have to incorporate transparent redirection to WWW service to use that option AND make sure system policies are still enforced.
