Logging off public WGIC client users

Postby bhollna92000 » Oct 17 06 2:31 am

How does one log off users using WGIC on client machines? Using Java, you merely click the log off button, but there doesn't seem to be any such item in WGIC. Thanks!

Users with WGIC installed are kept authenticated for as long as there is a network-enabled application running. When all such applications are closed, the client machine becomes "unauthenticated" after the short timeout period.

So there is no other way to log off? Often students go to a machine one right after another with very little "down time" between....

You can remove all sessions from the client in Gatekeeper

It would be VERY useful to have a way to log off in the WGIC, sometimes I have trouble because I can't find out which process is holding a Wingate connection, and - what's worse - if that process somehow got logged on as "Guest", there is no web access, because authentication is required...

Please add a logoff button, and a list of processes holding connections.

Ditto on that idea of adding a log out button on WGIC. Cancelling sessions on the server which is in a different room is not practically viable. Oh well, just another reason to ugrade on the next version, right? :)
