Quick wingate question !!

Postby achyutdhakal » Oct 24 06 7:31 am

Hello,

I have installed wingate in one server with 100 clients in network. There are two network adapters in the server: one for LAN and another for internet. Let's say I turn off the wingate in the server. Will I still be able to connect to the internet from server ? I am trying to see if the request from the server itself passess through the wingate www proxy or it doesn't pass throught the wingate www proxy.

IF you are referring about if using transparent redirection to the proxy, the server does not get redirected, the server will only use the proxy if you have its applications configured to use proxies. If you stop Wingate and the server is not configured to use proxies, the server will still connect.
