Hello all,
We have a situation we would like to solve. We have a HughesNet satellite connection that allows a limited number simultaneous TCP connections, I think 50 at any given time. We have a couple of users who have P2P software and when such programs are running they sometimes easily take up the 50 allowed connections and leave the rest of users with no internet access at all or a very very slow connection. I tried working with the bandwith throttling but it doesn't limit the amount of connections and other users started complaining that their instant messaging applications kept disconnecting randomly but quite often, so I gave up bandwith throttling. Anyway, all I want is to limit the NUMBER of TCP connections and not exactly the bandwith per se. We're using NAT and assumed users. Any help will be appreciated.
