Wingate New Install Win98 and XP Pro

Postby mikewead » Dec 09 03 5:18 am

I have installed 5.2 Server on a Windows 98 machine with a PCI DSL card. My network is a wireless router by Belkin. My client station is Windows XP Professional. I have installed the defaults for Wingate Server and Client. The Server and Client are seeing each other. But, on the client when I launch Internet Explorer, it says that it is loading the page and then says done, but nothing appears.
Any ideas?

When you say Server and Client are 'seeing' each other do you mean you can ping the server from teh client and vice versa, or do you mean the server name shows up in the WGIC 'Servers' tab on the client machine? If the former, make sure the latter is also true. Have you entered the WinGate Servers IP in to the DNS section of TCP/IP on the clients?! Was you wireless network 'up' before the WinGate Engine started?!

Regards
