Postby lanagate » Dec 11 03 1:30 am

I have problem !

my company have domain network consist of "win 2000 server" and ten clients "win XP pro" and I installed the wingate on one of The clients, but the wingate is not serving other computers while the DNS service is strated on the server, and when I stopped the DNS service on the server the wingate resume serving internet for all the clients.

Hi there

Are you running a DNS server for Active Directory(AD) or is it facing the Internet?. If DNS server is running on the WinGate machine itself then you will probably need to disable the DNS service in GateKeeeper in WinGate.

If it is for the purposes of AD then I would suggest having a read of WinGate configurations in AD in our knowledge base.

Depending DNS requirements will depend on the configuration you will use.
