upgrade WinGate Professional to WinGate Enterprise

Postby dersali » Feb 15 07 9:53 pm

Hi

We are running WinGate Pro with an old 5.x key. Now we decided to upgrade to WinGate Enterprise because we need the VPN-feature. We got the WinGate Enterprise key from our local dealer. First i updated WinGate to version 6.2.1 then i deactivated the old key and then i activated the new one. After restarting WinGate nothing had changed. That means in the control-panel there is no VPN-Tab in the network window i still have only the local network window and no VPN-window.
Please can you tell me what went wrong or what i did wrong.

Thank's
Markus

Hi Markus,

If you look in the License Manager and highlight the license key what license details show up in the lower pane? Does it show up as an Enterprise license?

Hi Matt

Thank you for your quick answer.
I have forgotten to mention it - in the License Manager it shows a professional license (WinGate 6.x Professional 50 concurrent users)

Hi Markus,

If you can email me the license details I'll have a look for you. My email is mattp at qbik dot com.

It sounds like the new license has not been activated correctly. You might like to try deleting any .lic files from the WinGate directory and then reactivating, but let me check the activation record first because it might show up as already activated on your machine.

Thanks,

Matt
