Announcement: Important info for Windows XP SP2 users

hello. about this topic i have a question: is it a good move to uninstall service pack 2 or in our days it is essencial to have sp2 in the computer with wingate? ik i uninstal sp2 windows does all the other security updates.???

When I installed XP SP2, my computer slowed down alot and became a dog. Start up's were taking twice as long aswell. So I have been using SP1 ever since SP2 was released and I haven't experienced any problems regarding security yet.

I think Microsoft stopped making hotfixes for SP1 once SP2 was released, but I haven't used SP2 so I'm not sure.

I Just searched through my system logs, and got several instances of this log message about the limit being reached.

So I hate to think about how this would affect a loaded proxy.

I'm going to try the patch on my home machine, I'll let you know how I get on.

I can't really recommend removing SP2, I think MS don't let you use windows update without it now (?)
