Best way to upgrade to new version?

Oct 01 03 8:49 am

Hello,

I like to uninstall old versions of WG before upgrading to new, so I have a "clean" install. However, I would like to retain all policies etc. that have been used in previous version and transfer them to the new. Can I save the entire HKLM Qbik registry settings in 5.0.7 and just copy it back once 5.0.8 has been installed, or are there new (to this version) registry entries that may be over written if I do this? Can I copy back just the policy keys for the appropriate services if this is the case? Or should I just upgrade without uninstall?
TIA

you should just be able to upgrade. If you feel a bit nervous about the upgrade process you could back up your WinGate registry first.

This upgrade really only upgrades the .exe files and driver.
