Can't connect to a VPN with the AT&T client

Postby The_Replicant » Mar 28 07 5:28 am

Hi.

I searched in the forum, but i did not find anything similar. Sorry if I duplicate the subject's issue.

Ok, here we go.
I have one notebook in my Lan that needs to connect through the AT&T network client to a VPN. I set the AT&T NW in Travelling mode so i can setup a proxy configuration pointing to my Wingate/Proxy Server IP address and WWW service port available for that user.
Everytime i try to connect it's says the following error "The connection timed out waiting for the VPN server to respond. This can occur ir your computer is behind a firewall that does not permit UDP or IPSec traffic. Contact your system administrator for assistance" (229)

I suppose i have to open an UDP port in my Wingate, but don't know. What do you think?

Thanks a lot!

PS: I try connecting it to my internet connection directly and works great, but not when must authenticate through Wingate.

Regards!

Ok...i know i'm not the brightest bulb in the lamp, but i found out what my problem was... i need the ENS and configure NAT...now it works...BUT..(there's always a BUT)... I already have one service with the 80 port and it's bringing me troubles with the HTTP 80 port that NAT uses...
so my question... can i change NAT port??__

So if you have a web server listening on Port 80, then change the WWW Proxy Server's port to e.g. 8080. If you want other connection method to be pushed up through the WWW Proxy Server (without having to specify a proxy in the LAN Clients web browsers), then put an intercept on port 80 in the WWW Proxy Server --> Sessions.
