TESTING WINGATE VPN: NEED HELP _!!

Postby GigaTel » May 27 04 8:16 am

Dear Qbik Team,
We want to test if your aplication can connect 2 remote Computers with a Master Server.
** The Escenary is the Following: We have a Admnistration Software for your shop. We need to connect two branches with the Main Office. Each brand only have a PC with a POS (point of sale) aplication. Each brand has a ADSL connection (dynamic ip).
The question : Can we be able to connect each brach with the Main Office and sending data to main Office in a real time (realtime database access) ???
Thanks a lor in Advance,

Does the main machine have a static IP? if not you will need something like DYNDNS to map the dynamic IP to a domain name

Thanks Mr.,

All of three nodes have a dynamical connection (ADSL). What does a domain have to be with the vpn ?

kk go here and open an account (free) http://www.dyndns.org/
then make up a domain name following the instructions and use the domain name when exporting the config file.

Finally go here https://www.dyndns.org/services/dyndns/clients.html and get an automatic update client

Well, I noticed that my ADSL gave me certified address but not fixed ip. I make the Certified and exported it. I installed it in the other PC (Client node) and I can see the VPN and the server Node, also I an see the entire network behind the Server node, but When I try to look for in Neiborhood Network the VPN does appears. So How Can I redirect the database patch of the client software (POS) to the Server wich is the main Software installed?

It takes a little while before all the addresses are resolved and appear in network neighbourhood, in the short term do a search for the computers in the network
