wingate vpn not browsing from wingate vpn

we r trying wingate vpn
we installed vpn server on one machine in local network and using static ip.
from the client vpn it is connected
we r not able to browse from the vpn browser(client) by right clicking the machine name and browse.we have to go to the run and enter ip address then only it is browsing .and also from run machine name also not working.

appreciate some assistance with this

Hi Biju,

It sounds like NetBIOS over TCP/IP may not be enabled on the external interfaces. WinGate VPN requires that your external interface for the VPN host and joiners has NetBIOS over TCP/IP enabled in order for browsing by machine name to work.

Please check your NIC properties and let us know. Are you able to ping a remote machine by name?

In our office v r using wins server.in vpn server pc NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled in the network properties.
we r using dialup for connecting to office.i can see the pcs(some pcs showing not accessible).if i right click and go to properties i can see ip address & netbios name.in wingate username,security level etc is showing n/a.i tried to ping with netbios name it is not pinging .but ican ping with ipaddress

If you'd like to create a support ticket and send in your VPN configuration file I'll try and connect in and see what happens. I'll also need a username and password to connect to the VPN.
