Ok, got a brand newie here its related to http://forums.qbik.com/viewtopic.php?t= ... 73004292ea

Got a new machine on a usb adsl static IP it connects to the server all the logs indicate the tunnels are formed etc, then says remote disconnected, so does the remote, The massive part is that if left, after a few attempts the server goes to BSOD. On the new client I noticed because of the nature of the router that the ip address is a public one and this is mentioned in gatkeeper. How to resolve? Should I put a nic card in and bridge them would that work? Anyhoo could do with a few ideas as this machine obviously cant join the network.

Hi

Can you check if there is an MTU issue by trying large pings? To send a test ping of a certain size, use the ping command with the -l switch.

e.g. ping 192.168.0.1 -l 1500

if larger pings fail, that would indicate an MTU issue, which is possible if your connection uses PPPoE, since that reduces the MTU.

Hi Adrien, have lowered the MTU on all the machines on all the networks, The problem (had it from 2 different users) seems to happen when for whatever reason the remote wan address is sent (in the case of the usb modem telefonica set them to be on a subnet of the wan address) in the second case it was this user testing on our server

his machine was also publishing the wan address.
