Now here's a strange one for someone to tackle.
I run Windows XP Proffesional machine, on a Duron 1100mhz / 384mb Ram / 40gb HD. The specific problem I am having with WinGate VPN is as follows :
After installation; I reboot my machine. Windows starts up, after 30-35s of post-windows boot, I receive a very brief flash of a Blue Screen of Death, then my machine immedietly reboots. I have tried modifying my startup config to not load the wingate engine on boot. It still does the same thing. I boot in Safe mode with networking support - same thing occurs. I boot in safe mode, it does NOT bsod me and reboot.
Now, WinGate VPN server WAS functioning properply before. I had it uninstalled because I wanted to try a different VPN server, I then proceeded to give OpenVPN server a try from
http://www.SourceForge.net. (at this point, the previous installation of Wingate VPN was functionioning. I installed OpenVPN, read through the various help files, and decided it was a bit too much of a hassle to use. Being a visually oriented person, I don't take well to configuring programs with notepad and ect.
I also decided WinGate VPN was in general alot more user freindly. I reinstalled WinGate VPN. That's when the problems started to occur. I have tried reinstalling and uninstalling many times already. And yes, I uninstalled OpenVPN a while ago. Any help would be appreciated.
