Protocol Version 1.6 required

I have just installed Wingate on two pc's, both the same version but each time i try to connect, I get "The VPN you are attempting to login to requires protocol version 1.6 to connect"

I am completly new to this product and would appreciate any help

Hi,

You will get this error if you're trying to connect a version 5.x VPN client to a version 6.x host. It sounds like perhaps you've downloaded different versions of WinGate. We have a beta for version 6 posted on our website at the moment, as well as the release version which is version 5.2.3. If you downloaded the VPN-only GUI then this will have to connect to a version 5.2.3 WinGate.

You can check which version you're running by going to help>about GateKeeper.
