Sofaware s@o 100 as a client for Wingate VPN HELP

Jul 29 05 9:53 pm

Hello,

I got the assignement from my office to test the Wingate VPN. There are some criteria that need to be matched.
We want to use Wingate as the VPN gateway and a hardware router from Sofaware as a client. Is this combination possible? If yes, are there any setup guides to accomplish this?
I currently have a test server online with 2 static IP's and I have my sofaware router setup to be accessable trough the internet. If someone is willing to dive into this issue together with me, I'd appreciate it.

Thank you

It should be allright. There are certain considerations to be taken into account:

1. Hardware routers should allow UDP and TCP traffic through VPN port (809 by default).

2. You might need the updated driver from Qbik - try the connection with the standard installation and drop a message if you experience difficulties.

with a default install it doesn't seem to work. Are you interested to login to the firewall and the server to take a look?

when using wingate vpn as a client also, it does work, so this means that the router and firewall are set up correctly. However, I cannot connect using the VPN functionality of my firewall(Sofaware Checkpoint S@O100).

Any ideas?

Erm.. A reyou trying to use you gateway VPN support as a Wingate VPN client? It won't work since Wingate VPN uses its own proprietary protocol.
