WinGate VPN Disconnects every hour

Help..

We are trialing WinGate VPN and got everything working ok, however have since discovered a major downside. We use the VPN to copy large batches of files through two networks.

The problem we are experiencing is the fact that the VPN connection disconnects, then reconnects again every hour. In fact it is so regular that looking at the log it drops the connection and 10 seconds past each hour every hour.

This is causing huge problems, as file copies fail if the download overlaps the hour point.

Any ideas if this is a setting thing, a evaluation limitation, or other??

It's not an evaluation limit - the trial versions are completely unlimited. I'd recommend trying to see why the connection is dropped. The first step would be to determine which end is dropping the connection. The first step would be to check in the logs to see if anything there would indicate why.

The second alternative is that the VPN was unable to receive sufficient keep-alive packets across the control link. Was the machine (On any end) highly loaded at the time?
