Hello pascal.
I just configured the VPN on the internet server and if i dont misunderstood it say that i need to install the wingate vpn on the client machine and doble click on the file i have exported from the vpn server host. I just did that and cannot import the .vpn file into the client computer.
i think is cause i cannot get the trial licence from your website from within the wingate.
Can u give me a hand on this?

What client computer are you referring to? You only need to install WinGate VPN on the VPN Server and the VPN Joiner (Two machines on two different networks).
What message does it give you when you try to activate?

the error message i receive is this:
Unable to connecto to activation.qbik.com on port 80
The server name or address could not be resolved (12007)
the same error for the port 443
i'm trying to activate the vpn joiner on my computer (part of the local network), But i'll try the vpn connection from a dialup connection without the network cable plugged in.
Any Suggestion??

That means the computer you are using could not resolve activation.qbik.com. Have a look at the DNS resolver logs, they should give you a clear indication of where the problem is.

No error message on DNS Resolver.

The activation client uses your IE settings. Can you reach the internet from that computer using your web-browser, at least?
Apr 08 05 10:28 am
Yes, I'm working on it.
This message have been sent from this computer.

Strange, re-try the activation client, then? Because it makes connections using stock standard IE settings, so if that is able to (a) resolve and (b) reach the internet then activation should be exactly the same.
Otherwise, enable debug logging in WinGate for the DNS Resolver and the WWW Proxy Service and try it again, taking note in the logs of any related messages.

i think is the firewall
cause i can see that is stopping the ip below with the port 443
is 61.81.96.175 your ip Server?
Apr 08 05 10:36 am
Nope, that's not us. Good firewall, huh?
Apr 08 05 10:40 am
Yeah good Firewall
debug is enabled on both, but i was looking for any error in the time i was making the activation and dont see any.
Apr 08 05 10:42 am
Can you email me an approximation of that time-frame? Error might not be readily apparent in the DNS logs.

Sorry for the delay, but your server went down or i had problems here.
i could open other pages except this one.
Already sent u the info u ask for 2 your email
Thx Advcd

Replied to your email - none of the requests in those snapshots contains "activation.qbik.com".
It doesn't look as if it actually made that request ... how do you have DNS / etc. configured for the machine you are trying to activate on?
Apr 08 05 1:17 pm
I have DNS from primary domain
IP from my local network
and i use proxy configuration for explorer and other stuff

Any suggestion?

If your machine cannot resolve DNs then there is not much I can suggest. The activation client uses IE settings - so you need to trace that back through to see where it is not getting a response, etc. Alternatively, run it from the modem, like you suggested earlier OR use e-mail activation.
Apr 09 05 10:14 am
but why can i get internet connectivity if the dns is not resolving?
Apr 09 05 10:40 am
That I do not know. The activation client uses the IE settings (And components) to access the internet. You say you use proxy settings - but if you were doing that then the lookup for activation.qbik.com would show in the log file you sent me. Which it is not. Which must mean the lookup is going somewhere else. Have you tried using NAT?
At this point in time, I cannot sit in front of your network - so you need to look at your configuration and work out where the DNs lookup is actually going. (Check the primary's log file?) Failing that, there is always e-mail activation.

i was chcking in the www proxy service and in the server request i have select to redirect to our homepage.
and in the dns resolver that was what i could see
i change it to your activation server but still redirecting to our web page.
any other request i make i receibe what i'm looking for.

Why not create a new WWW Proxy Service on a different port and temporarily proxy your machine through it until you have it done?
