impossible to connect

I have disabled all firewalls, I have no router, I have 1 desktop i want to connect to and 3 laptops to connect to the desktop. the laptops are using a novetel v620 pc aircard with high speed connection. I have read every forum to do with this and gone through every help file there is. NEED HELP

Are you referring to establishing the control connection? Can it be that the other side rejects connection requests because of the firewalls?

Any connection I can't connect from either side, if i use vnc or pcanywhere i can establish a connection from the host to the remote but not fro the remote to the host, for some reason the software doesn't use the pc aircard like a default connection, in the activity windown when any of the programs are launched there is no activity. I disabled all firewalls on both side's i now have a netgear router (i had it disconntected) but i routed the tcp and udp ports through. the only problem when i went to route udp 809 it said duplicate port creation error
