Upgrade path from Wingate VPN 1.0.04(build810)

I am seriously thinking of upgrading my version of WinGate VPN. I am concerned with the ramifications of upgrading from such an "old" version [1.0.04(build 810)].

Just a few questions:

1. Will I be able to simply overinstall with the "new" version?
2. Will my current configurations "map" over to the new version?
3. Will I be required to purchase a new/upgrade license?

Just a bit more info:

Server: Windows 2000 Server (5.00.2195) Service Pack 4
Roadwarrior Clients: Windows XP Pro Service Pack 1

you will however need to upgrade all nodes of the VPN to the latest version.
