installer for 2.0.4 errors at end

I am trying to install a trial version of Wingate VPN. When I click the <Finish> button during the install, I get a windows error: "The Qbik WinGate Engine service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s). The following corrective action will be taken in 0 milliseconds: No action. "
OS = Win 2k
CPU = AMD Athlon 2400+
memory = 512 M
network adapter= VIA Rhine 2 imbedded on motherboard.

When I go into the monitor, it tells me the ENS drive has not been installed. Help!

1. Are you running any other security suites? like Nortons IS, McAfee, proxy software etc.

2. Does the Windows event viewer indicate any extra information?
(Windows) Start Menu --> Run --> eventvwr
