Hi there
Is the WinGate VPN host behind another firewall?
How does the WinGate VPN host reach the Internet?
Is it WinGateVPN >> Firewall >>Internet?
If it is the case that WinGate VPN host is sitting behind a Firewall, then you will need to set port forwarding on the Firewall with the approriate ports (809 TCP and UDP by default) to pass any WinGate VPN traffic it receives from the Internet, on to the WinGate server. You will need to consult your Firewall documentation regarding how to set up port forwarding.
This way when a remote WinGate VPN attempts to join the VPN traffic will be forwarded from the Firewall to the WinGate VPN host behind.
The WinGate VPN comes with its own Firewall and will open these ports (809) on its own firewall automatically, when a VPN is configured to be hosted, so they shouldnt need to be set/adjusted.
Hope this helps
Regards
