Coorperate with Watchguard

Postby dickfung » Feb 04 04 4:06 pm

Our company has one headquarter and one branch office. A watchguard was installed in headquarter. To reduce the cost, I want to setup a Wingate in branch office to act the role of firewall, proxy server and make a VPN to headquarter running on a Windows 2000 server. Is it possible?

HI

This should be possible. Do you want to run the VPN server behind the firewall at your headquarters? If so, you will need to set up the firewall to forward connections on port 809 TCP and UDP to the WinGate VPN server on your LAN. If you can also turn on RIPv2 listener on the internal interface of your main firewall, then the remote VPN clients should be able to access your whole LAN without problem.
