VPN and BackOffice Server 2003

Postby peteru » Feb 26 04 1:10 am

Can you please let me know if there are any compatibility problems with BackOffice Server 2003? I have tried to install Wingate VPN with this and upon restart the Server and Netlogon services were disabled and consequently e-mail and almost everything else. I do not want to try re-installing it until I have any comment that there may be on installations on this type of server. Any comments would be gratefully received :o)

Hi

we haven't heard of any other problems on Back Office Server 2003, but depending on what components you were running there could be problems with things like

MAC bridging
MS VPN
MS Firewall.

Were you running any components like this on that server?

The only one which I had installed was the MS VPN which I stopped before I installed the Wingate VPN. The only thing I didn't do was restart the server before I did the installation. Perhaps I will do that next time?
If you know of no other problems, I will re-try the installation.

Many thanks for your reply.
