Different Subnets?

Postby Diessence » Oct 10 03 6:53 pm

For some reason Ive found that if peole connecting to my VPN server have the same subnet as me, Wingate VPN shows a conflict in IP's. The only way i could get around this is putting every person that connects onto different subnets. Is this the setup that it is supposed to be or have I set something up wrong.

yep, unfortunately that is the way it needs to be, else you get routing conflicts.

WinGate VPN does not allocate new IPs or set up virtual adapters, you should think of it as a virtual distributed router, where every node on the VPN (WinGate VPN installation) is a port on your router.

In a router, all the ports need to be on different logical subnets, which means they all need to have different ranges of IPs.
