xbox system link aross VPN

Hello, I am looking for a solution to connect 2 Xbox’s via system link over the VPN (as if they are plugged into the same HUB) . I have it setup using Wingate vpn all PCs on each lan can brows across the VPN. I am not sure how Xboxes connect to each other but I am sure it some sort of broadcast.

Has anyone done this before here? I am guessing I will have to define the broadcast port under extended networking. Will that allow specific broadcast traffic cross the VPN as if it were a bridge?

Also any idea how I can isolate what traffic I need to define in the extended network settings provided that is what I need to do. Thanks

Hi Dave,

We haven't tried this but I think it should work ok, you're right, you should enable UDP broadcasts in Extended Networking. Have the Xboxes been allocated an IP address? Can you ping them from the PCs on the other side of the VPN?
