VPN + Proxy Software

Postby ndavey » Jun 25 04 12:10 pm

Hi,
I'm looking at deploying a VPN at a site that currently uses ICS (yuk)
The VPN host and ICS machine are the same, so from other threads on this forum I see that ICS will needs to be disabled for the VPN to work.

For internet sharing, is it possible to use software other than wingate?
Is the VPN going to get upset/grumpy?

Cheers
Neil

WinGate 6.0 Beta 3 fixed the problem between WinGate VPN and ICS, so you should be able to use WinGate VPN and ICS for NAT.

You can enable only the VPN support in WinGate, simply by unchecking the "use WinGate NAT" option.
