Host to LAN VPN: Missing "Local Network" participa

Dec 06 07 1:40 am

Hello,

I'm trying to get a remote host to see our entire local network via Wingate VPN.

The Wingate Server is running Windows 2000 Professional (Spanish) with Wingate 6.2.2 build 1137 installed, has two network cards: Local Network (192.168.100.0/24) and DHCP-Configured internet. It has one Wingate and two Wingate VPN licenses installed.

Everything (authentication, connection) works but for one thing: the only participations levels available on the Wingate Server are "No local participation" and "Local Machine only".

Any ideas on how do i make this option available?[/b]

What type of license do you have on the Host?
You would need a Gateway license in order to allow Local Network access.

It just says "WinGate VPN 2.x Single user license"

A single-user license only allows the computer that WinGate VPN is installed on the participate in the VPN. You will need to either upgrade your single-user license to a gateway license to enable the "local network" participation setting, like ccsoftware mentioned.

If you want to try out the Local Network setting before commiting to an upgrade, you could activate a WinGate VPN trial license. The trial is an unlimited computer VPN gateway license so it will enable the option for you.

To activate a trial license:
Start > Programs > WinGate > License Management > Add New > Follow the instructions on screen

If you have already used up your 30 day trial period, send your trial id or an email activation request to the support queue. you can make a new ticket here.
