"Ignored / local conflict"

Postby Bit » Oct 29 03 1:20 am

I have a VPN between 2 LANS, each of them has a ADSL/NAT router (Linksys BEFSR41) for acessing the internet. One LAN has 10.15.0.x as subnet and the other 10.15.10.x, both of them with 255.255.255.0 netmask.
And here comes my problem: The VPN is established ok, but I´m unable to access the resources on the other LAN. In the "published routes" at the 10.15.10.x lan I can read en gatekeeper:
Published routes
- Behind NAT/translated
- 10.15.10.0 / 255.255.255.0 (ignored / local conflict)
- 10.15.10.2 / 255.255.255.255 (ignored / local conflict)
(10.15.0.2 is the VPN host)

Can anyone help me? I think I only need some tips, because I´ve already read the docs ;)

PD: Sorry for the english.

Hi,

in order t get a correct connection between two networks you have to take different network numbers.

e.g.
1st Network 192.168.5.x MASK 255.255.255.0

2nd Network 192.168.6.x MASK 255.255.255.0

Thatss it.

I´ve two subnets ... 10.15.0.x and 10.15.10.x with 255.255.255.0 netmasks ... I think my problem is related to the Linksys routers that also publish the routes, but I dont know how to fix it ..
