Local network.

Postby dufrasne.paul » Apr 13 05 9:55 pm

Hi,

I have a littel problem.

I have installed a VPN via Wingate VPN sice more than 3 month ans everything works fine.

It was installed to give to the client only access to the HOST SERVER but now we need to give access to the local network .

So i change the local participation to local network on the HOST SERVER, but i'm can't access to the local network, Ping to the host server from the client work fine but ping to another computer in the local network does not work.

Wat's wrong done ?

Thanks in advance.

Paul, you need to make the clients aware of the remote network. This can be done in three ways:

1. by using the vpn node as a default gateway
2. by installing the rip v 2 client
3. by adding static routes to the remote network to each client

You can find more details on these in the setup guide, or - if you tell me how your network is set out (gateways, etc.) I can make a recommendation.
